Balloons... the new couture?

I saw something on the Daily Dish the other day that I just had to check out online! They are now making balloon bridal gowns and formal wear. Can you believe it? Here is a site with a few examples. http://bit.ly/nkpzqf These even include bridesmaid gowns (which if you ask me would be kind of cool to wear to prom, but... not so sure about a wedding). You'd think these dresses would be great to save money, but... NOPE. An average "designer" wedding balloon dress can range from $900-$2,500! These can be finished (depending on the design) in a day though. :)

Some of the colors seemed a little intense to me, but if you used a little lighter version of some of the colors then they seem to work better (it could just be my screen making them look brighter too). We have expanded to a new location! Our new prom store is 3 doors east of our bridal location. We are so excited to have a new, fun environment with a lot more room and a lot more options! We've expanded our stock and we have so many new styles!

Our showroom is the best part of our new location! Bring friends and family to come and watch the fashion show as you come out in all the fun styles! This is where we get to accessorize with our big variety of jewelry and fun hair accessories!

Fashion Photo Night!!

We just had our third Fashion Photo Night, and we had so much fun! We had quite a few girls schedule with our photographer this time, which is great because we have a lot of wall space at our new location!!

Alayna came to our store the same day of her dance to find this awesome red dress!! She was so much fun to shoot and had a lot of personality in her pictures!

Katie wore this dress to Mountain Crest's Sweetheart dance! We got a lot of way fun poses of her sitting down; she is so cute and photogenic!

Hailey wore this funky metallic pink dress with a layered skirt! Such a fun dress, it totally fits her personality!!

It's hard to tell in the picture but this dress actually has a sparkle underneath the first layer which gives it a look that is so different!! Such a gorgeous dress; perfect for Ali's style!

We had such a good time with all the girls at this last photo shoot and we are very excited to display their pictures in our new prom store! Come check it out! Purchase a dress and join us for our next photo shoot around April!

Masquerade Ball!

The owners of the Diamond Gallery, Brian and Kathleen Smith, attended a masquerade ball on Friday night. Kathleen and her friends all purchased their beautiful ball gowns at our store. Cami Moore found "The Perfect Dress"!

This week we were able to help a beautiful bride... Cami Moore.
We had tons fun trying on over 15 dresses. The favorite ended up being one of the last dresses we tried. Her mom and Maid of Honor picked it off the rack while we were in the dressing room. The dress has a beautiful strapless neckline and a rouched bodice with a pickup skirt. It is made of a soft Ivory satin which will be elegant with her bridesmaid in Chocolate and Persimmon Orange. The Big Day is October 10th!

Don't you just love the Bird Cage Veil with the feather accent? It fits her personality perfect... cute, trendy, and fashion forward.

After the Fashion Show dinner was served here. We had fun on the dance floor too!

Our Store was invited to an exclusive private showing of Venus Bridals (one of our biggest designers). We stayed in the Pechunga Resort Hotel in Temecula, California. Over 500 dresses were shown and we were given the opportunity to place our Spring 2010 order about 2 months early. This early buying gives us a huge advantage over our competition because we are getting the most current styles in our store first! Happy Anniversary Venus Bridals!

We are excited to share a professional Photographer, Nancy Olsen, with a few of our prom clients. Last Wednesday we enjoyed a night full of fun, laughter, and photography. All of our models are clients that have purchased their prom dresses for PROM 2009. We will be using the photos for advertising and also post a scrapbook at the store for our customers to enjoy.
